To fulfill the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7, specially 7A and 7B, Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC) commitment under Paris Agreement, Bangladesh is committed to an unconditional contribution to reduce GHG emissions by 5% from Business As Usual (BAU) levels by 2030 based on existing resources; and a conditional 15% reduction in GHG emissions from BAU levels by 2030 in the power, transport and industry sectors, subject to appropriate international support in the form of finance, investment, technology development, and transfer, and capacity building.

Project
Summary

Implementing renewable energy projects and improving energy efficiency in production and consumption of energy are the key programs envisaged in the country’s INDC. Government of Bangladesh aimed to achieve 10% of energy consumption reduction in the industry sector by 2030 compared to the BAU.

In line with the country’s goal, Encotech provides complete services from project inception to implementation in the arena of Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency.

Encotech is playing a catalytic role in saving carbon emission by providing efficient cookstoves to replace existing inefficient biomass based cookstoves.
